Code Pink for Peace
March 23rd 2003, militant women, all dressed in pink color, marched in the streets of Los Angeles to say" No" to the war. Behind the Kodak Theatre, the place of the Annual Oscars Ceremony, to protest everywhere against the "macho" Bush.
The operation "Code Pink for Peace" results from a movement against the war in the United States, "Women for Peace" which does not cease growing everywhere in America and in the world.
Their name is take-off on Bush's "Code Red" security system. The militant ones preferred to take pink color for their emblem. Since the beginning of the year 2003, every sunday, these pink women gathered silently in front of the White House or in New York to express their protest against the George W Bush's plan.
Started from a dozen of activists or mediatics women (like Michelle Shocked, singer), they succeed in gaining many other women's hearts every day.
